Lemon Punch

Lemon and Life has always been used to create refreshing cocktails and drinks. Let me share with you this easy to prepare, light and Vitamin C rich drinks. You may add vodka or tequilla to it or keep it kid friendly.


3 lemons or limes
18 cubes of sugar or 5 tablespoons of sugar
4 cups of “no sugar added” type white grape juice
3 cups of unsweetened apple juice
6-8 long strips of lemon zest for decorations
10 fresh basil leaves
3 slices of fresh ginger
+1 lemon

Slice lemons and palce them into a stockpot. Add apple and grape juice; bring to a gentle boil and add sugar. Turn down heat and cook for about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Once cool, place in a serving pitcher and add the juice of a fresh lemon and all the basil leaves. Gently crush basil into liquid with a wooden spoon of spoon.

Serve with fresh basil leaves and long strips of lemon zest.
